PC Will Not Post At All

Building a gaming PC for Christmas and I have everything plugged in properly, but the power button won't turn on the computer. No fan spin, nothing. Steps tried so far are:

 

Making sure all connectors including front panel are secured properly and in the right orientation

Making sure power supply is on and plugged in.

Re seating CPU

hi, ive experienced this before, on my first build

 

1.check 24pin

2.hold power button from 15-30 seconds to clear ram and capacitors

3.check front io connectors are in the right place

4.check if standoffs are in the right place to prevent a short

Reseating the ram almost always works

You could also double check the four pin to the cpu, I always forget that

Hm, also make sure the psu is turned on.. I forget that sometimes too

Thank you,the power and reset switches were swapped.
