I HATE RGB!!!!!!!!! I want my system to be as unseen and unheard as possible.

If it's the EVGA G3 850W you should cancel the order, as it's a very loud PSU and you specifically mentioned you wanted something that was as quiet as possible.

Grab the Corsair RM550x, Bitfenix Whisper 450W or 550W, or Be Quiet Straight Power 11 550W instead. All good quality PSUs that are very quiet.

You'll simply lose money by using a higher wattage PSU in that PC. Nevermind the 50% load nonsense you hear everywhere nowadays. One should also take into account the efficiency at low loads, since the PC will likely draw ~100w most of the time at idle or during light tasks such as youtube/browsing. So with an 850w unit that would mean ~10% load, and PSUs are not that efficient at 10%. The G3 for example at 10% has an efficiency of 86%, that's like 80+ bronze or silver. Not great. Not to mention the money you're already wasting by purchasing this higher wattage unit.
