This individual asked me what the best computer he could get was. Unlimited budget, but rather not go above 20000$ US

He would use it for 3d modeling, vr, and extensive research (as well as neural network stuff)

He wants good headphones mouse and keyboard (decent) and 3 4k monitors

he also wants a m.2 for os (needs windows 10) and 4 terabytes of hdd space plus 1 terabyte of ssd space

no custom liquid cooling (because he does not feel comfortable with it)

if you have any questions, ask

20,000 holy heck OWO

few quesions

what type of 3d modeling would he benefit from having more cores(xeon/threadripper) and a quadro?

cause it might be better for him to  build 2 computers one for gaming and one for work

I mean... I don't want or have 3 4k screens but my HEDT rig meets or exceeds everything else on his list and even with the Titan RTX cards doesn't hit 20k.

For headphones I'm using Oppo PM-1 with an Oppo HA-1 dac/amp.

Confused... Why?

If you just want to spend money get two Quadro GV100 cards and NVLink bridge set, there goes $18,600 + tax already.

? I know the headphones are a bit much. Probably a goo set of wireless ones would be better. But as far as I'm concerned the only one who should pick headphones is the one that will be using them.

Definitely need all ssd storage.

for what?

as fast as ssd's are projects most likely will not go over 1tb so there is no point use ssds for current projects and hdds for old ones

he can save past projects to the 2 4tb hdds(running in raid) and get them later if he ever needs them

Assuming usage patterns is not something I like to do. Given the budget there is no reason to go with less reliable and slower mechanical drives.

well if he wants to remove them he can probs fit at least 4 tbs of ssd storage due to the fact that hes removing 160 from the hdds and has 300 left in the budget

I am unsure what you are trying to say but quadros are a better option than a titan at this budget. It looks like they want to do professional oriented work so having an enterprise gpu and driver support very worth it. Also you are acting like the gv100 is the only enterprise gpu on the market.

I'm not understanding why your quoted response of 'that's why you Quadro' was given.

My post that you replied to was stating that my personal HEDT rig can already meet all the requirements listed, save for the 4k screens, and costs less than the provided budget by a fair amount.

Thus, I'm confused by 'that's why you Quadro' as a response.
