Best phone around 300$?

Actually i think even 200-300 bucks more for the Pixel 2 can be absolute worth it.

 

Main reason: Updates. Pixel 2 will get 2 more updates, it WILL get Android 11. While Pixel 1 will get nothing anymore. You buy a "dead horse" now.

Pixel 1 gen was only supported for 2 years with major updates. Since the Pixel 2, Google promises 3 years major updates.

Short: Pixel 1 = no more updates

Pixel 2 = 2 more years updates

 

Another reason the CPU made a good leap. Snapdragon 820/821 was just a 2+2 Core setup, the Snapdragon 835 was a 4+4 Core. For multi-thread related stuff, this can be a good upgrade.

But the Update situation is the main reason.

 

And the Pixel 2 only had 32gb internal storage.. I would not buy 32gb without SD expansion at this time tbh^^ Pixel 2 base model is 64gb.
