I think it is too late, but then again I'm not entirely sure about Newegg purchases. I haven't return any computer parts since my TigerDirect hassle. I did buy the parts off  a 1-2-3 rewards Credit Card with store gift credit, so I don't think the money can be put back onto the card from the money spent off the gift card balance.

 

Plus, my CPU order says "replacement return only"?

In that case, just stick with what you already have.

Hello,

 

Red is already bought, blue is s an upgrade I got for my current build because I only had a 300W PSU in it.

 

CPU:  Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor
CPU Cooler:  Corsair H110 94.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler
Motherboard:  MSI Z87-G55 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
Memory:  Corsair Vengeance 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
Video Card:  MSI GeForce GTX 650 Ti 1GB Video Card
Case:  Corsair 400R ATX Mid Tower Case
Power Supply:  Corsair CX 600W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply

[Location is the USA]

 

Money is tight, which is about 600$ (if I had to push it, 700$) . Some of the parts I actually purchased with about twenty dollars of left over giftcard money on Newegg (CPU) and the RAM on Amazon was purchased at only 46$ after I applied the promo code I had and my gift card balance on it. I have a monitor, keyboard, mouse, speakers etc etc which I do plan on upgrading after I get the core components (even SSDs).

 

I'm looking at something to game on and do slight graphics editing, like art (drawing with my Intous 3 tablet), nothing serious like massive video editing or hard core game making (which i do, of course, do). And yup, I'm going for a blue/black theme. :)

 

P.S

 

The reason I'm going for that cooler is because I really love Corsair but also because I don't want those clunky looking heat sinks that block up the RAM slots. However, if someone else who is far more knowledgeable in this than I am, has something to suggest/change please do. :)

too small of a budget for i7. And it is called VRAM. But if you can find a 2 or 3 GB version, pick that up instead.

I was under the impression the TI was the boosted version of the card. Where can I find any higher GB version of the card?

Sorry, I should have clarified. 600 (700$ if I have to push it) total. Excluding the RAM and PSU costs, as they were previous purchases. So far, I've spent about 350-360$ on the mobo and CPU (plus  a wrist band). I'm  willing to buy more core components before others and save up to make the final purchases, as I have a computer to work on in the mean time.

It was too expensive for my budget, and I heard the i7 is really for those who have the extra money to burn or for those who do heavy video editing. Was the i5 a poor choice for this build?

Looks nice to me, and the GPU won't conflict with my color theme. It is the Cooler Master I probably wouldn't want...would this one prevent me from adding more RAM, of the same brand? I have seen so many people complain of only being able to use two of the Corsair Vengeance RAM. And how cool will it keep the CPU?

If you move the fan to the other side for pull instead of push on the 212 Evo, you should be able to use more vengeance ram. 

How cool will depend on your chip. It should allow for a decent 4.2-4.5 ghz oc though.

You don't need to sand at all.

The 212 Evo doesn't really look clunky to me.
