GPU connector issue. HELP.

My pc is shutting down under load. I have a second psu for test. But that has 8 pin and 6 pin and my gtx 1080 has  two 8 pins. Isnit okk to test the system with this spare psu?

Both 8 pin connector are required to power that 1080.

Thanks. And m gonna run a stress test so will it be able to gove full power? Its a 600 watt. N mine is 1090amp extreme. But the second pin is 6 pin

I know but just for test cant i use a 6 and 8 pin. I need to know if my pain psu is bad or not. Theres no other way. I have only this spare psu which is 6 plus 8 pin

How have you come to the conclusion that the psu is the problem?

 

You need both 8 pins. Unless you got an adapter around.
