Crossfire question

So I just bought a second Asus R9 270X DCU2 before the price jumps any further and was wondering if a Corsair RM650 will be able to power both cards in crossfireX without much trouble.

what's your cpu and any overclocking going on in that system?

Im running a amd FX-8320 with a overclock from 4-4.4 boost clock.

Would I be better off setting my cpu back down to its base clock of 3.5ghz just to be safe? also im running 6 case fans, a H100i AIO and one HDD.

The gpu's will be using much more power compared to the cpu... Unless you have some extreme cpu overclocking going on, it shouldn't matter too much. If issues rise you can try to set your cpu/gpu clocks lower.
