Power consumption

Does anyone know how much power typical B450 motherboards consume? I have an ASUS Prime B450M-A/CSM board and was wondering what it's power consumption was.

Also, how many watts would 2 8GB sticks of ddr4 3200 memory consume? I assume for memory, it is very low and almost irrevelant.

over 90% of total power draw comes from CPU and GPU, motherboard will take 20-30W max, memory is 5-10W

Main system: i7 8700k 5Ghz / Asus Prime Z370-A / Corsair Vengeance 2x8GB 3000Mhz / Asus TUF RTX3080 / EVGA 750W GQ / Fractal Design Meshify C

So the another components like case fans and usb 2.0/3.0 devices take almost nothing? So a 550W PSU with this board and that memory paired with an OC'ed Ryzen 5 2600X (4.2ghz at 1.39/1.4v) and OC'ed EVGA GTX 970 SC ACX 2.0 (1350mhz base clock- 2003 memory clock) would still work very efficiently? I'm looking at a $50 Corsair CX550M Semi-Modular 80+ Bronze PSU.

Also, how much power would my SATA III ADATA SU800 3D NAND 1TB Solid State Drive consume?

Drives take almost nothing as well 5-10W, you should right now be drawing about 300W so a 550W PSU is perfectly fine.

Just add 100W to the sum of CPU and GPU power draw, unless you run a server with a ton of drives that's enough margin of error.

500W is more than enough for most systems nowadays unless you go with Threadripper or SLI/Crossfire.

Intel Core i5-8400 / ASRock Z370 Pro 4 / Hyper 212 Evo / 16GB DDR4 @3000 / MSI RTX 2070 Armor / Corsair RM550x / SanDisk 250GB / 1TB WD HDD / Fractal Design Define R4

On idle your sitting at avg 125 wattage used.  When you game that goes near 300 wattage.  hope that helps
