not a must, you can in theory oc the cpu, but high temps, you SHOULD buy one. the money is worth it. its not worth saving some bucks IMO

I disagree, if you are on a tight budget, you can get a fairly decent OC out of the stock cooler, but definitely nothing impressive. It will last you until you can afford an aftermarket cooler

Love it when I’m ignored... if you insist upon an aftermarket cooler, Arctic freezer 33 is a better deal than the hyper 212 and looks better too

Well sorry for "ignoring" you. Thanks for the point, but i said "budget isnt tight" so i want the best performance. I was just wondering if the stock cooler is good enough so i could save sum $€$. :)

Before I purchased the liquid cooler I currently have on my 2600 I tried overclocking on the stock wraith stealth. I was able to overclock to 4.0 with stock cooler however, temperatures were becoming way too high under heavy load. After about 20 mins in Prime95 at 4.0, the cpu was getting close to 90 degrees C so I stopped the testing and purchased a CM liquid cooler. You can overclock to 3.9 comfortably and temps are reasonable, even under load.

Intel Core i7 9700F / Cooler Master 212 Evo / GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER / 16 GB G.SKILL RAM @ 2666MHz / GA-B365M-DS3H / EVGA 500w PSU

HP Pavilion Gaming 15 / Ryzen 5 4600H / GeForce GTX 1050 / 8 GB @ 3200MHz

I think i will go with the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO. Im not a fan of liquid coolers.

Still, for like 5 dollars more you get a significantly better looking cooler, and a higher TDP out of the Freezer 33 Esports

I wasn't a fan of them either for the longest time. Just the idea of liquid inside of a super expensive computer sounded like a terrible idea, until I realized the cooling power they had to offer lol. That and a lot of them come with pretty neat RGB lighting haha

No not really, but there is always that slim chance of a leak
