Hey Guys I was just wondering about crossfire and I found out that an APU can crossfire with a GPU

So what I'm trying to figure out is that if an A8 5600K can crossfire with a radeonHD7770

will I just be putting more strain on my system and end up slowing it down

Not see a differance at all

or will there be a small slight improvement

specs that might add more help

CPU: AMD A8 5600K

GPU:radeonHD7770

RAM:4GB corsair vengeance

That's not true of crossfire.  However I don't know if this case will work.  If it does work I wouldn't expect much of an improvement.

EDIT: a little bit of looking claims hybrid crossfire (which is what you're looking to do here) only works with an APU and a 6670 or a 6570

You can only crossfire two of the same cards. No this would not work at all.

Intel 4670K /w TT water 2.0 performer, GTX 1070FE, Gigabyte Z87X-DH3, Corsair HX750, 16GB Mushkin 1333mhz, Fractal R4 Windowed, Varmilo mint TKL, Logitech m310, HP Pavilion 23bw, Logitech 2.1 Speakers

That's true. I was thinking of SLI. Anyway I don't suggest you do this. Could you not like use the integrated for browsing purposes (less power) and when gaming, rendering and stuff use the graphic card?

Apu + gpu crossfire is horrible.

7770 blows it out of the water

the highest you can crossfire with is 7750, but you will have horrible stutter and problems

7750 can game on for itself, and is much powerful than iGPU

your best option would be 7770 alone

just use the 7770 as a dedicated gpu and clock the A8 to the moon

(1) high frame rate (2) ultra graphics settings (3) cheap...>> choose only two<<...

if it's never been done then i'm probably tryna do it. (((((((Bass so low it HERTZ)))))))

A single oc'ed 7770 is currently better than any hybrid CF.
