Solved TY

so i recently was given a new i7 8700k, an unneeded upgrade from my i5 8600 but it was free so why not, anyway i've installed the new cpu and i'm getting worse performance than with my old cpu.

i have overclocked the i7 to 4.8ghz but the performance loss was still there even before i had tried overclocking

where i used to get 144fps i now only get about 90,

my hardware is all fairly new as well

MSI tomahawk gaming Z370

Gtx 1080

16gbs ddr4 3000mhz

 any help is appreciated!!

It's possible that the new hardware caused game settings to change automatically

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad
