Cloning OS/Files

Xiauj

So I'm thinking about cloning My OS/Programs etc.. over to a Fresh HDD or possibly a New SSD with more capacity and have asked about this in the past but I wanted to ask this again to be sure:

Does anyone know of a good, simple, reliable cloning/duplicating program to use currently? I don't know of any lol

Would My product keys > for the software(s) themselves and the software(s) launch fine if I do the duplicating/cloning process first and then connect the [New_HDD/SSD with the OS/Files/etc] with a entirely new CPU/Mobo/RAM/Case/PSU..?

Thanks,

-Xiauj

Oh Cool, I'll check it out :) Thanks

Any ideas for the other question? The OS/Software product-keys and hardware one listed in the original post

Link your W10 product key to your Microsoft account (just in case you have to reactivate Windows).

Oh oops, I meant the product keys for the software(s), for example: a couple of Adobe programs like Photoshop/Premiere-Pro/After-Effects and a 3D Modelling software I use every now and then.

Also, the OS is currently Windows 7 on the system.

I'm guessing that would stay with cloning. The only problem would probably be windows since it usually links itself to your motherboard but if you link it to your microsoft account it should be ok

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.

Microsoft Account? I dunno if there's one already on the system lol, If not, do I need to make one to transfer it to the new hardware to make sure it works? I don't wanna be making a new email+acc just to transfer the product key for just one system lol

Also, is upgrading to Windows 10 for free still an option? I dunno if it is

You'll probably need to make one for it. It might be an issue if you clone onto a new pc in which case you'll have to reactivate probably unless you tied the product key already. I'm not really that sure tbh ?. Apparently there are issues that can pop up with it though so you'll probably have to do some research in that deparment

It appears that the upgrade still works even though it's unofficial.
