Black screen on boot

So I just built my new pc and it does not boot plese help

 

-12gb ddr3 (2 2gb, 1 8gb)

-XFX rx 570

-seagate 80+ bronze psu

-intel core i5 2500

'-250gb 7200rpm hard drive

Uhhh, try running it with just the 1 stick of 8GB ram in the first slot....

Chances are that you might have mis-matched the RAM and that would definitely cause a no-boot

Do you see a black screen with a blinking cursor?

You need to install Windows onto your HDD before you can anything -- other then access to the BIOS menu.

Most of us are not sitting here continuously refreshing the page.

I'm personally at work, and just tabbing in and out while my workstation is crunching data in MATLAB...

 

What motherboard (make and model) do you have ?

Are you able to even make it into the BIOS (let along boot into Windows) ?

I had this problem too. Was caused by the ram in the wrong (right) slots. I had 2 4gb sticks one in the first and another in the second slot and it worked fine. Found out that it should be one in the first slot and one in the 3rd slot, the manual for my board said so too. Didn't boot when I did this, black screen. Changed em back to what I had before and bang worked fine...

 

So what I'm saying is try 1 stick of ram in the first slot.

 

What model ram you using?

 

Looking at your first post you have mixed ram sizes, Try not to do that and if there different speeds, models etc DEFINITELY DONT DO THAT or your pc will be really unstable. Just try one 2gbs stick in the first slot.
