Weird purple pixels

Go to solution Solved by brob,

If the first picture was a screen capture and the second taken with a camera, the issue is likely with the monitor or cable. Have you tried changing the monitor settings?

I've been seeing weird purple pixels in games and videos lately. It seems to happen randomly with dark background turning into this weird purple mess:

I can reproduce the bug with the exact scenes that it happens. I can capture it with printscreen / paint so i'm not sure if it is a driver issue or my GPU itself is defected.

My config: GPU: AMD 7770. Windows 7 64bit.

I've tried to uninstall and reinstall latest driver with no effect.

If it's like one or two pixels purple it's probably a dead pixel in your monitor.

Factory reset my monitor settings and the display turned back to normal. Thank you very much!
