Hello! So I would like to buy new hardware (totally new pc) and I decided to try AMD's Ryzen 5 2600X because passmark gave it pretty high price-performance ratio. (I have i7-4790K)

I was wondering which GPU should I buy nowadays or shouldn't I.. I have a 1070 (frontiers edition.. got it 50% off when they were released)

I was looking at RX 580 or vega 56.

The 580 is 200€ now in germany and the vega 56 would be 380€. So should I swap the gpu too or keep my 1070? I was thinking of selling my old rig to a friend and he would need the gpu pretty bad. (I was thinking a price range of about 400€-500€ for my old rig)

The whole price would be 1000€ from germany or 1450€ from my home country (always ordered from germany because of this)

Thanks all! I've read other threads about multiple 580s and that's also an option(?) But I would like to hear what you guys would suggest (have dropped from the gpu map for a while on amd)

Are you in a hurry? If not, wait a month or so to see if AMD comes out with some crazy stuff at CES.

If you like any of the games they're giving away with the RX580/590, that would be a great choice if you're playing at 1080p60. You haven't stated what your monitor set up is, so it's hard for us to really give you any solid advice on that front.

Vega is kinda meh at that price. I wouldn't pay that much for it.

Oh yeah! Sorry, I have a 1440p monitor and a 1080p (using the 1440p one for gaming) and the 1440p is nvidia supporting one. I guess because I have a monitor with nvidia compatibility already I should go with nvidia (?)

If you have  G Sync monitor, then definitely go with an Nvidia GPU.
