Hard drive recommendation?

Hard drive recommendation for a gaming pc? 2tb. I want something really reliable and good for gaming and daily use.

Seagate Barracuda, Western Digital Blue and Toshiba P300 are all good choices.

Get a WD Black or Seagate Barracuda.

Go for Western Digital Black, or Blue if you have too.

I have had way to many Blues failing on me to ever recommend them. All other WD's are fine though.

I second this.

I have had 5 WD Blues all fail.

They have all failed me with lifespans less than 25K hours -one I think made it to 35K but died shortly after.

 

But to be sure on what will work best for you...

While true in some aspects...

Until the price per gigabyte ratio declines mechanical hard drives are still more efficient by the PPGR.

In my location I can get 3 2TB blacks for the price of a single 2TB SSD which here is $350+ where as one 2 TB drive is less than a third of an SSD -again in my area it may be different elsewhere.

I did not say PPDR or Bang for Buck.  For gaming, which the OP means as performance... SSD is it.

 

I understand what you're saying but we're talking gaming not good pricing.
