I would just wait to see what the new Ryzen 3000 CPUs will have to offer. If you need to put together a rig quickly, then you may have to go with the 2000 series.

I put together a nice build using a 2600X WITH intentions on upgrading later. I got the Crosshair VII just in case the next gen is power hungry! I just couldn't wait, lol.
