CPU for twitch streaming

I am in the process of trying to figure out what CPU to use for my new computer build. I am building a single pc setup for twitch streaming. I am looking at getting the 2950x. Is the 7900x a better cpu to get in anybodys opinion? I have all the rest of the other components sorted, will be using an RTX 2080TI XC Ultra. I just can't find any really recent benchmarks for the 2950x in gaming to make my final decision but it's what im leaning towards.

Well, intel is going to outperform that cpu in games, nothing to say about that, but I wouldn't consider the 7900x to be the solution. I would rather just get a 9900k or that treadripper for your other tasks

If you're just gaming and streaming, I wouldn't say either of those CPU's are the option. They're made for content creation, not gaming. An i9-9900k would be good for this.

Well it's a single pc build, the 9900k will not stream on twitch very well that's just a glorified gaming cpu and not much more of an improvement then the 8700k which like wise gets destroyed when trying to stream on twitch at any good settings.

So 4 cores are not enough for a bit of streaming? That's new to me

It gets destroyed on medium preset that's a fact. Any non work station cpu or non dual pc setup cannot stream on medium preset. The only people claiming an i9-9900k is great for streaming are people who don't know what they are talking about because they've never even had an i7-7700k or 8700k which is almost the same thing. And both of those cpu's provide pretty crappy stream quality.

not all cores are equal. Sure you can stream on twitch with those cpu's but you won't have a crystal clear 720p stream @ 60 fps not a chance in hell, your cpu will be at max 100% just streaming at veryfast.

well, okay then. my streaming history is really small, so.... What about first gen treadripper then?
