Corsair M65 RGB mouse died

My corsair M65 RGB has been playing up for a while, disconnecting randomly from the computer or just refusing to work, now I get the message "the last USB device you connected to this computer malfunctioned and windows does not recognise it". I have a feeling it is a bad connection either in the USB or within the mouse itself. is there anything i can do about this, I haven't had the mouse for that long and it doesn't even get much use.

I would try getting a replacement before attempting any repair

sent a message to the place I bought it from but i will be surprised if it gets replaced or repaired
