Need help with bf4!

Ablindrhino

So I just got some new parts and installed them in my computer. I was just looking to get some better fps and graphics from these upgrades but ever since it has been horrible and choppy. My original setup was:

AMD phenom ii x4 965 BE at 3.8 ghz

970 extreme 3 motherboard

Radeon hd 7870 double d

8 gb corsair vengeance

New setup:

Same parts except

CPU: fx6300 at 3.5 ghz

Gpu: Msi gtx 780 lightning edition

I do not understand why the frame drops are so horrible even on high settings, which this setup should be able to handle, any thoughts?

You'll need a bios update, I presume...

Nah, just downloaded the latest nvidia drivers and the lightning led never goes into red (means there isn't too much load) so I believe it is CPU based.

Check you CPU activity in task manager while you're playing.

Wait, if I didn't have the bios I needed for it, wouldn't it just not work at all? Or would it just make it more efficient?

Well it will work as long as chipset is compatible with cpu. Latest BIOS is like driver for mobo itself. I think besides it you should check if never chipset drivers are available. Whats your page file size?
