mini pc questions

iLostMyXbox21

so i want to make a console like pc for a  side project

here will be the probably specs

ryzen 5 2400g

2x4gb ddr4 3200mhz

a mobo (obviously)

a 500gb ssd

watercooling

custom case

am i allowed to use a Ryzen processor without going to them first? if i use it could i get in trouble for it?

im using watercooling so i do not need as many holes for ventilation tso that you never have to open it to clean it out because there would be less room for dust to get in

will have a PCIE riser so that you can attatch a GPU if you want to

im gonna make my own OS for it so no need with Steam OS or Windows 10

but it will have google chrome in case you want to get steam

Could you elaborate? I really can't tell what you're asking.

Is this something you're planning on selling a number of? It kinda sounds like you're planning on it.

I mean.... small time system builders usually don't do any sort of licensing to use AMD CPUs.

It's one of those things where if you get big enough for them to come after you, that may be a good thing. You work out whatever licensing needs to happen then.

Companies would rather work with you and get a partner than sue you out of business in this kind of situation.

Though I am far from a legal professional.

What reason would a company have to sue you? As far as you've said, you're going to buy their product and then use it as intended. If any of that is untrue, of if you're omitting any part of your plan, we will of course not be able to give you correct advice without knowing what you want to do with this project.
