This post confuses me. What exactly is it that you want?

Ryzen 5 1600 @ 3.9 Ghz  | Gigabyte AB350M Gaming 3 |  PaliT GTX 1050Ti  |  8gb Kingston HyperX Fury @ 2933 Mhz  |  Corsair CX550m  |  1 TB WD Blue HDD

Inside some old case I found lying around.

the i5 4460 would be way better than the i3 4160 as most modern games now require at least 4 cores to actually have a good experience

you have to fix the language first. You mean the 4160 was bottlenecking heavily, then you bought the 4460 and still get CPU bottleneck?

Games that use 2 cores will run faster on the i3,.. games that use 3-4 cores or more should balance out or run greater.

Thats about it.

Were the higher clocked i5's out of the question/budget? Aka 4670 non-K or 4690 non-K , these are beasts for Singlethread performance gaming on 4cores.

Pity the locked i7 4790 non-K is still too expensive.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

Do you know if you have the 180w Powersupply or the 280w power supply?
http://psref.lenovo.com/syspool\Sys/PDF/Lenovo Desktops/Lenovo H50/Lenovo H50 Tower.pdf

Power supply?

180 watts, autosensing, 85% PSU, EnergyStar 6.0, universal (100V-240V)

280 watts, autosensing, 85% PSU, EnergyStar 6.0, universal (100V-240V

Do you know which one you have?

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

The i5 has double the cores though

4460s is like the lower power version so it uses less power but it's also less powerful

S-CPU's have lower baseclocks to reduce power consumption and may indeed hit Turbo less often due to power limits possibly imposed by the board seeing this CPU.

Then your in good standing. If it was a 180w PSU,.. then yeah... I'd have mentioned it.

The PDF file I found on your PC says it can take a 4790 i7 as well. (If I read the right documents)

To be fair...
It's only losing 200Mhz on each core, but gaining 2 physical cores....

Old Games may lose 5% FPS,. Newer Games will likely respond very well to the change,.. (Less of the 90-100% CPU saturation for sure you likely see)
