Hi,

is there much difference between Caviar Blue and Caviar Black?

and is that difference really worth £20?

The Blue is a more quiet, but slower drive, whereas the Black is a faster, but louder drive. What are you using this drive for, also do you care much about noise?

Casual Gaming, light servers and general storage. Benchmarks would be good so I could see how much quicker it is than the blue.

well, if the speed really matters to you then spend the extra £20. I have the blue drive and it's pretty decent. whereas the black is designed to be a gaming hard drive.
