Screwed up BIOS flash/update :( NOW WHAT!?

It’s on muh rig at home I use as a security system... I think I updated everything and the bios on the same restart resulting in a brick.

 

its an optiplex 9010

 

keystrokes aren’t working to get into NVRAM... what do I do.

 

Attached is a pic prior to the failure. Regular old bios flash. Boo. Any help? Thx!!

you can try take the CMOS battery out for a while, then put it back for a CMOS reset. This better fix the problem, because the next (and only) solution will be flashing the BIOS manually with a flash tool. It's an extra piece of hardware that is quite expensive for something that's only used once

The best thing to do is reading the clock speed that doesnt end in a pair of zeros. Software voltage readings are wrong if your motherboard's not a high end model

I used mine over 6 times over 12 months. %1000 worth the $5 I spent on it. and I get to overclock my laptop thanks to that device.

I tried it, but will remove for longer -- prob gonna get the tool tho

yup, my shit lenovo had a write protected and whitelisted bios, I was able to enable advanced settings and mess around.

I was able to make highest turbo boost clock to apply to all cores at all times, anything that required voltage or adjustment of multiplier bricked the board (and required a bios reflash, thats how I got to use the flash tool that many times)
