Does Asus x470f support Ryzen 2400g?

Desclimer: I never build PC before, I will build my first one this week.

I know that x470 motherboards should support 2 gen Ryzen out of the box...

But when I click on "ROG-STRIX-X470-F-Gaming-CPU-QVL" through Asus website:

https://www.asus.com/ph/Motherboards/ROG-STRIX-X470-F-GAMING/HelpDesk_QVL/

I didn't saw any 2 gen CPUs or Vega CPUs either...

What's going on there?

Will it support 2400g?

My PC Spec (Case on the way, the rest will order tomorrow or today evening):

Case: Meshify C (on the way).

Motherboard: Asus x470f.

Storage: 1TB Nvme (thinking about one of those: 970evo / 970pro / WD black 2018)

Ram: I didn't decided yet.

CPU: R5 2400g (likely to upgrade to 3700x next year).

CPU cooler: stock cooler and likely Dark Rock Pro 4 later down the road.

GPU: Integrated graphics (Will buy GTX 1180/1170 when it will come out).

PSU: I didn't decided yet.

A board with X470 chipset will support 1st, 2nd, and even upcoming AM4 socket CPUs (with the proper BIOS). and that 2400G is no exception

-Frequencies DON'T represent everything and in many cases that is true (referring to Individual CPU Clocks).

Mention me if you want to summon me sooner or later

Spoiler

My head on 2019 :

Note 10, S10, Samsung becomes Apple, Zen 2, 3700X, Renegade X lol

Will work, but why such a high end with a low end chip?

@AskTJ

B450 coming at the end of July, and I can't wait, I have really bad experience in Overwatch with my current PC and I'm not going to try other games because my PC will not be able to run them...

How to get 60fps in Overwatch with my laptop 101:

1. put loud fan to blow air on my laptop to prevent thermal throttling on the GPU.

2. 720p.

3. lowest settings.

*sometimes the ping get up to 400 and stay there until the next game, when it happens I want to implode...

x370 got replaced by x470.

Here what I saw when I researched for cheaper x470 motherboard:

1. x470 plus, gaming 5, gaming 7 from Gigabyte -  got pretty bad review, I don't want to mess with bad motherboard.

2. MSI - they have similar pricing to Asus but their m.2 shield is a heat trap (Gamer Nexus video).

3. The ASrock x470 master SLI looks good but it have only one display connection (I currently using 2 monitors but I probably will switch back to one because my sister want the monitor) and less ram modules in comparability list (and less information in the list, I wrote a program to scan ram Latency and Frequency to check what is the fastest), the extra 50$ for Asus x470 probably worth it.

The reason for 2400g is because i'm not going to buy 1080Ti just to get smashed by 1180 sometime later this year.

Also Ryzen 3700x should be amazing in 7nm and to celebrate that Intel got smashed by AMD.

The 2400g is a temporary CPU & GPU until those things will came out, I can't ignore the price to performance ratio of this thing...

Hmm im thinking the same way....why not 2200g?

BTW MSI boards not good either for ryzen at least (unless extremely high end)

Because 2200g barely, if at all, beats 2500k.
And 2400g has better iGPU.

I see a 70% increase in price and a negligible increase in performance from this video.

I must admit that currently the price difference has dropped to 60% however you still have not justified the price to performance difference.

19% difference in average FPS, almost 24% difference in lows.

In other words, gameplay experience will be much smoother with 2400g than 2200g.

It may be negligible for you, that 19% difference matters a lot when you are running low FPS.

That cherry picked video does't validate your argument. A %60 increase in price is just not justifiable and the 2200 is a better value for money. I dare you to ask me for proof.

Price to performance isn't always answer.

If you prefer to save money and get bad experience, please go ahead. We aren't talking about 200-300 FPS where that kind of performance difference is insignificant.

I would like to know about the bad experiences you are experiencing because you seem to be the only one getting them.
