Recording on Xbox one

MTFT Games

I wasn’t sure where to put this so here it is.

I want to record gameplay with commentary on Xbox one. The options that I’m thinking of are streaming to mixer and downloading that or using Xbox game cap with a usb 3 drive to record longer. The problem with the later is that it won’t get party chat if I want to do multiplayer and to get my mic I would have to plug it in my computer and then I also can’t talk in multiplayer. I know a capture card would be good but I don’t have one and I don’t have money to blow on one. Also I don’t have win 10 so I can’t use the features from that

Any advice?

You really have limited choices because you don't want a graphics card.

TBH, the best way to do this is to invest in a capture card.

With that investment, you can use it for years. I have both an Elgato HD and an HD60Pro and both are great (especially the 60 pro).

They also have guides and a special dongle to be able to record your team chat as a separate file from game audio, which I do not use myself.

I suggest saving and watching sales for an HD60S or an HD60Pro.
