Gigabyte gtx1080 g1 or EVGA gtx 1080 FTW Gaming ACX 3.0?

Hello everyone,

So I found what I believe is a really good deal on this 2 cards (about $420 USD each) they both work and even have a warranty. So I been trying to decide which one to go for. I'm new to PC gaming and I just recently build my first PC. My only reason for upgrading really is because of the good price for the cards. However, I do have to sell my current GTX 1070 and I was also wondering what could be a good price, I've only had it for about 3 months, no OC and of course no mining. 

 

 

My current specs are as follow:

 

Cpu: i5 8600k

GPU: MSI gtx 1070 Gaming

MOBO: Gigabyte z370 gaming 3

Cpu cooler: H100i v2 (front mounted)

Psu: 650w (can't remember the brand)

Case: phanteks p400

SSD: 250GB 860 evo

HDD: 2TB SEAGATE

Not worth upgrading to a 1080 at all. It's 1080ti or wait in your case.

Personally I'd get the EVGA but either one is good.

1080ti is way to expensive. I think i could sell my gtx 1070 for around $400 easily and get me the 1080 for a bit better performance for about $20 more. I think its worth it. Yeah its not a 1080ti but for that price, even if i buy it to resell it i think it would be good.

With these ex-mining cards flooding the used market, you wont be selling your gtx 1070 for $400. Marketing it as 'never mined or overclocked' wont work either since people judge these claims to be lies anyway.

Cooler's a bit better, prettier IMO
