Personally I'd do a full reinstall.

Is it 100% necessary? no. Is it highly recommended? Yes. Reason being is driver conflicts. You could spend hours troubleshooting a problem sometimes and never understand the why or how. This is why we recommend when you upgrade your Motherboard, to do a 100% fresh install from scratch to not have any driver conflicts.

Better to start out clean.

It will work, but uninstalling old drivers won't remove all their files completely.

You're going Intel-Intel. I'd backup and reinstall. I just went from AMD-Intel and only had one driver issue, but that's best case scenario.

If you're savvy enough, you could take the time to remove any/all old drivers and install the latest compatible ones...but that's quite a bit of work. I mean I did it with my upgrade anyway and it wasn't massive amounts of fun, though I do enjoy the odd bit of registry cleaning every now and then xD

Put all your data on an external drive and reinstall windows to make sure your drivers don't conflict.
