rgb memory

Go to solution Solved by SupaKomputa,

QVL list is made for the early days of Ryzen when there are still incompatibilities.

now they made a bios AGESA update which solve most of the memory problems.

i say just try the ram, if not compatible return it and ask for a new model.

im 90% sure it will have no problem.

So I'm planning on getting the Asus X370 Crosshair Hero 6 and I've been looking at the QVL for memory and noticed that there were no rgb memory sticks on the list. Is this because the models on the QVL are simply the same hardware as the rgb models, just with lights and slightly different model numbers? I'm wanting to go with either the 3200mhz Corsair vengeance rgb or the g.skill TridentZ rgb, so if any one can verify these work on the board or can recommend one over the other would be awesome. Thanks in advance

Get Trident-Z RGB 3200MHz C14.

It will 99% work

memory doesnt need to be on the QVL

Don't buy Apple M1 computers with 8GB of RAM

Ignore the QVL list, that list maybe outdated by now. if its in the list, good.

With the newest bios, the board will have broader memory support.

I heard of people using team group nighthawk sticks

ask me about your system builds, AIO's, CPU's, PSU's, and GPU's.

That's what I was thinking. The list on their site was pretty small considering the board has been out for almost a year now.
