R7 370 4GB overheating

OK, so I recently bought a used R7 370 4GB, which is great, but I have one problem. It runs hot. Very hot. I've already replaced the thermal paste, but I still hit mid 70s in Furmark after less than 15 seconds. I'm not sure if it's a normal issue, or if it's something I can easily fix and is exclusive to my card. Thoughts? I believe it's a Double Dissipation card, but it's some dual fan XFX card if that's not correct. Thanks!

maybe download MSI afterburner and crank up the fan curve. Then if that makes no difference then you're sure that you have a problem.

Try a regular game with it, and I can compare it to my 7850.

Well, I'm not sure about temps since my overlay on Afterburner doesn't work (I installed Rivatuner, still doesn't), but the fans get LOUD. And the fan curve isn't set that high, I already messed around with it a bit.

The fans getting loud is probably just how the card operates.

As I said, try getting into a game and even if you can't measure temps, how loud the card runs should be a decent determining factor on if it's running good.

@Dan Castellaneta OK, so I don't really have time to test games right now, but running Furmark after ramping the fans to 100% gave me a max temp of 74C.

Mid-70s isn't "overheating" or even close. A lot of cards, probably including yours, are designed to target that temperature under load

Really? I'm still hitting it even after stress testing with the fans cranked up to 100%.

mid-70s is normal temp for GCN. Come again when it start hitting over high-80s.

Don't use Furmark. 

Set the fan to auto and play your most graphically demanding game.

Furmark is much like Prime 95 AVX. It simulates a load that is never otherwise achievable in gaming or productivity.
