Strange issue with headphone ports

Recently, i updated the realtek audio drivers to the most recent version, and something strange has happened. Before the update, my headphones would only work if I plugged them into the "pink" audio jack(I have no clue what it's actually called), but now, they only work if plugged into the "green" jack. The sound is completely different, however, i'm not sure if it's because of the update or the change in jacks. I was wondering what the difference between the green and pink jack is, and whether or not it's possible to fix the issue

with alot of realtek cards u can plug them in almost any jack and u can modify / select the software to wether its an output or a mic input ect

 

green is for sound normally pink for mic input normally
