ASUS ROG Front Base/OC Panel Future Life

I have noticed lots of newer ASUS motherboards are leaving off the ROG_EXT headers nowadays. Is the ROG Front Base and OC Panel kissing support in future builds? I only asking because it will influence my case choices a lot. If no support why should I buy a case with 5.25” bays.
