is it possible to restore a deleted partition?

Xizerz

i just accidentally deleted the entire partition of my main 2 tb storage drive because i was confused about it being a dynamic drive and saw 2 partitions merged into one, i tried deleting one that i knew had nothing on it but apparently that deletes the entire partition

I make music so this has all of my project files and samples on it along with all my games and most of my programs other than essentials like chrome

i didn't create a new partition after i did this fearing i may corrupt some files

my main drive is an ssd that's still perfectly fine and what i'm running on now

i figured since i didn't write any new data on the drive there should be some way marking it as being a partition again or some way of rebuilding it

if anyone has any idea how i could do this that would be cool and nice

ands thats why we have backups. Just restore those.

You can normally get the files from it, wiht some proograms

If you care about the data, send it to a data recovery service, there much better than any guide anyone here can give you. You don't want to screwup when its important data.

i have the super important stuff backed up online but it would save me the hassle of having to search for the downloads of obscure plugins and samples all over again and also i would have to reinstall all my mods

i have fast internet so i really dont mind re downloading stuff it's just finding the downloads that's the hassle

there are ways you can recreate them. But you want a full image of the drive(you need 2tb of free disk space) and a good amount of knowlege on how filesystem work and what to put in there place. Not easy if you haven't done it before.

You could give Recuva from Piriform a try. I don't know if it will find files from a deleted partition, but at this point it's worth a try if you don't want to spend $1000+ on a recovery service.
