Pure Wings 2 experiences

I'm about to buy 3 140mm and 1 120mm Pure Wings 2 fans.

I only have 1 system fan header on my motherboard, but I will be buying the NZXT ten port fan hub along with the fans.

How good and silent are the Pure Wings 2 fans exactly? Since I need to buy 4 fans, I want to buy the best price/performance fans possible.

I really like a silent system, so will these fans meet my expectations?

I have them in my silent base 800. They are not the quietest option on the market, but probably one of the most bang for the buck option. Mine are operating idle at 500 rpm amd you can't hear them. If they ramp up to full speed, you can hear them, but it's not louder than probably the average gpu under load.

Well I don't have a fan controller so I'm guessing they will be operating at a constant 1500 rpm, right?

What RPMs are you running them at for them to not be quiet...

My fans in my SB800 were dead silent

So the Pure Wings 2 are a good and silent option?

Well at full speed

But yes, its not loud, only noticeable

Since I don't know a whole lot about fans, I can just use software to let them run at a specific rpm right? Even when I'm using a fan hub?

Few fans are quiet at max RPM....

That depends if the fan hub has either hardware or software control then its possible.

To control the fan u need to plug it to  Sys Fan pin on your motherboard and use bios or speedfan software to control it.

The fan hub doesn't have any control mentioned (it's only €10), but software will work just fine right?

There should be a button on the fan hub use it to control the fan.

Mostly they are speed toggled so u can only choose low rpm or high rpm.
