Best 1440p monitor for the price?

OK, so I'm getting an EVGA 1070 SC tonight, and planning on upgrading to an R5 1600 with 16GB RAM. I'd like to play the new Battlefront 2 when it comes out, but I want to run it on high/ultra since I absolutely love how awesome the textures are. I'm assuming it'll be a little harder or about the same as Battlefront. So with a 1070, do you think I can push more than 60fps? If so, is it worth getting a higher refresh rate TN panel vs a 6Hz IPS panel with 100% sRGB? Are TN panels really that bad? Also, will the response tim really make a difference to me (1ms vs 5ms)? I'll mainly be playing it to gaze at the beauty of the Star Wars universe and have fun times with other people, so IDK if I'll even notice the response time.

I'd like to get an Asus since they have all that stuff to help your eyes (my HP screen and iMac at work murder my eyes most days), though feel free to suggest any other monitors. Also, I have a dark grey Phanteks Evolv TG, so I can't have a blingy monitor that'll look weird with my case.

Don't go with Asus just for blue tint options. It doesn't tint that much at allJust use f.lux or something

Well it depends on the quality of the panel. A bad TN is REALLY REALLY bad. It's a pain to use, while a good TN like on my MG278Q is really not far from an IPS. The response really isn't an issue, just if you're willing to pay the price for the better colours. I have zero experience with those monitors but for its specs that's an amazing price

If the response time isn't really noticeable, I may go for the $400 ASUS since it's got awesome colors.

I'd personally still go for the qnix monitor. If you can find the DVI ONLY model, it can be overclocked to 100hz+

I don't think I'll hit 100fps with a 1070, and I like the Asus' monitors slim bezel and flat finish.

A 290x could drive a 1440p 144hz monitor on star wars battlefront

Yeah. A 1070 has much better performance than a 290x

Yeah i think they do not make QHd resolution monitors but they make confusing ultrawide

I'd be happy with a 1080p ultrawide as well, since they aren't as tall as a normal monitor they shouldn't be too pixelated. Though I would really like a VESA mount compatible 1440p monitor.

LG 29UM69G, i think it is good. Let me tell you that LG's monitor naming uses this format : Screen size + Type of monitor (can be 4K, ultrawide and other) + grade based on specs + G when it is a gaming specialized + colour (b, black. P, white)

Awesome, and if you have the budget (i am getting 27MP59G new for $241) like me make sure you choose the one that ends with "G" if you go for LG.

 

and when LG is in gaming i call them "Legit Gaming"!

Nice! How much are you paying for it? I'm getting an EVGA 1070 SC for $300, though I could get an MSI Gaming X for the same price. But the 1070 is newer and matches my build better.
