Trying to connect my apple thunderbolt display to my pc

I bought an ASRock pcie thunderbolt card to try to get my 2011 apple monitor that uses thunderbolt 1 to work with my pc, but when i plugged everything in and turned it on it still doesn't work. I've made sure the power is connected, the displayport cord is plugged into my gpu and the card, but it doesn't even look like the monitor is on. Is it even possible to get a thunderbolt display to work with a pc? This was more of a test to see if it would work for the computer I'm building, because I have the monitor so I want to use it if possible. The specs of my current computer are down below:

I don't have an exact parts list but here are the ones I know for sure:

i5-6600
MSI B150 GAMING M3
MSI r9 390
8GB ram
samsung 850 evo 256gb
1 tb hard drive

https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16815548001 is the thunderbolt card

you need a thunderbolt card that works with your board,so you need a msi one as they directly connect to the bus.

id just sell the monitor and buy a better one

After googling I've found mentions of an MSI thunderbolt plus card, but I can't find anywhere to buy it. Do you have any idea of something like that? And if worst comes to worst I will likely end up selling the monitor.

The monitor? Yeah I think it is the imac sized one, it's 27" with 1440p so I really want to be able to get it to work

Yeah. Maybe it only works with Apple? It was made by them, and they don't seem to like sharing peripherals (wasn't there a kerfuffle when Lighting came out?).
