Dell Desktop

I've been asked to recommend a desktop to someone. They specifically want a Dell. They're looking for something under $1,000, and given that they don't do much beyond basic computing is more than enough money. However, they also replace their computers about once every decade, so even though they don't do heavy computing stuff, might it be a good idea to recommend them with an i5-i7 processor? To give reference, their current system runs on a core 2 duo from '06, and even basic web browsing is sluggish for them, so I'd want to recommend them with a processor that'll last them another decade. I'd also want something for them that has an SSD, because that's an upgrade that they'll instantly notice. I don't think they need anything with a discreet GPU in the near future. However, it seems that most models with a decently sized SSD are higher end with a discreet GPU, something they won't need for now. Should I get them an AIO due to its space profile, or typical tower due to the fact that it's more up gradable if they were to need more RAM or a new GPU in about 5 years?

TL:DR - Need a Dell desktop under $1,000, low computing needs but it needs to run smoothly for at least a decade, =>256gb SSD preferred, AIO or Tower?

No need for dedicated graphics if all they do is basic computing tasks and web browsing. An i3 will be 100% sufficient for these tasks. I personally will never build without an SSD ever again, but thats a personal preference and can sometimes come down to costs.

Considering a Core 2 Duo laptop with bad cooling and broken hinges lasted me for years (and I do more than basic work) a Core i3 should be sufficient. But why specifically a Dell?

Main System: Phobos

AMD Ryzen 7 2700 (8C/16T), ASRock B450 Steel Legend, 16GB G.SKILL Aegis DDR4 3000MHz, AMD Radeon RX 570 4GB (XFX), 960GB Crucial M500, 2TB Seagate BarraCuda, Windows 10 Pro for Workstations/macOS Catalina

Secondary System: York

Intel Core i7-2600 (4C/8T), ASUS P8Z68-V/GEN3, 16GB GEIL Enhance Corsa DDR3 1600MHz, Zotac GeForce GTX 550 Ti 1GB, 240GB ADATA Ultimate SU650, Windows 10 Pro for Workstations

Older File Server: Yet to be named
