I believe that HDMI to DVI will still deliver 1080@144Hz. Same for DP to DVI.

They will not:

I would like to have a triple 1080 monitor set up for racing simulators and euro truck simulator 2. The problem is I have a Benq xl2411z which is a 1080p 144hz monitor. The only way I can get 144hz is by using dvi d. The problem with this is that no current graphics card on the market has 3 dvi d ports which means I won't be able to get the 144hz refresh rate with three Ben q xl2411z. The other option would be to buy 2 asus vg248qe which can be connected using two display ports which allows me to get the 144hz refresh rate. In other words 2 asus vg248qe and one ben q xl2411z connected using display ports and dvi d for the ben q monitor. I would also like to add a fourth monitor (4k G sync) possibly.

I am planning a new build can you guys name me some parts to go with?

If i go ahead with my plan will I run into any problems?

I am not restricted to any budget btw.

Thanks

You may want to consider the ViewSonic XG2401, it can run 144 Hz over HDMI or DisplayPort, which gives you bit more flexibility than the VG248QE which can only go over DVI or DisplayPort, neither of which you can use passive adapters for.

I believe that HDMI to DVI will still deliver 1080@144Hz. Same for DP to DVI.

HDMI can't do it and for DP you need an active adapter thats $100

I'd say try to swap your BenQ for an Asus on Craigslist or something and then get 2 more asus.

That has free sync as well so if I buy 2 of these and use the third display as my ben q monitor connected using dvi d that should work or will the games look different?

It will just work like a normal monitor if you don't have an AMD card.
