Speedfan temp readings

why is the CPU package reading incredibly off, while the core 0-4 readings are normal?

unless you cpu is throttling, don't worry about it.

it's just a bit bothersome because i prepared an automatic fan curve for the CPU, and i cannot set the curve to dynamically change according to CPU package since the reading is off. i have to probe a CPU core, which isn't that reliable to me

How is that not reliable? You could use Core0 or Core1 (usually the hottest ones) or even all cores.

i currently probe the core0. while it is the hottest core, the CPU package takes the average across all cores
