PC won't stay on for more than a second.

Timmos

Hello, long time lurker.

My PC was working fine this morning. I shut it down and went to work this morning. When I got back home, it wouldn't start back on and I had this issue. Here are the things I tried.

  • PSU, just bought today from BestBuy
  • Connect everything in tight as I can
  • Reapplying the heat sink again *Take screw out of the motherboard(I have a Phanteks Eclipse pro 400s case.)
  • reset the GPU
  • Change out Cases
  • Change out Motherboards
  • Try one stick of ram
    reset the cmos
  • reset the battier
  • reset the bios

Here is a short video of it in action.

On scale of bake to fried, how likely my cpu died?

Edit/Update: CPU baked like Texas, Motherboard has one bent pin. I took it pc repair shop today.

take back the psu? and replace it? if it worked befor the change then it could be faulty. Make sure the cables your useing are all from the new psu. Salazar studio accidently did missed that up and fryed alot.

The video is with the new PSU. The old won't power the motherboard at all.

you sure your cpu fan is connected correctly? if it isn't then the computer will turn itself off because it thinks that there isn't a cpu fan.
