BOOT_DEVICE_LED red Asus z170-a no post and black screen

Hi

The specs:
Asus z170-a motherboard
EVGA GTX 1070
I5-6600k with hyper x 212 cooler
16gbe ddr4 corsair vengeance
EVGA 750 GQ - gold cert PSU

So this is my first build I spent 5 + hours building this pc today. (Yeah it took me a while I haven't done this before)

I finally got it up and running all the fans and led lights were working. YAY.
I plugged in my 1tb hard drive and a bootable windows 10 USB.

I didn't get POST and the BOOT_DEVICE_LED was a constant red light.

I was pressing the keys on start up to try and get to the bios so I could boot from the USB but nothing happens.

What should I do?

Thanks

When I originally made it a bootable windows 10 USB? Then yes, it's a habit of mine.

The 1to hdd that I used in the new pc is from my old rig and that's got my current windows 10 on it. But as I'm building a new rig I wanted to wipe that drive and reinstall windows onto that 1tb hdd.

Could this have any effect ??

This is a new rig, Windows 10 is associated with hardware components is it not?

But that still wouldn't explain my issue. The computer is not showing me the bios and it doesn't post.
