Was wondering should I upgrade from Sapphire R9 280X toxic edition 3GB GDDR5 to Sapphire Radeon R9 Fury 4GB HBM 
I am looking to start playing at 1440P

Get at least a fury x or 1070

If you can get a fury under 260USD, it's good deal.

I'd say get a 1070. I'd do so over a furyx due to it putting out less heat and space, that is unless it's way cheaper than a 1070.
