Almost 10,000,000 Points in 10 hours?

Am i just not understanding the points system. It says i should be doing about 100k pts a day but when i got home after working for about 10 hours i have 9.9 million pts. Can someone please explain this. Only just started folding today.

That would have to be some kind of bug... even in the best case scenario there's no way any card on earth could manage that.

Could you look yourself up on this site: http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/ using the search on the side and show us that page?

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

I think you have used the same ID of someone who has folded a lot.

There isn't any authentication to stop you from using an ID used by someone else.

That username has done 22 WU and has earnt 41653 points for the LTT F@H, that is was probably used by more than you though.

I am not sure you can have duplicate

names with different passkeys as

separate id's, i haven't seen it myself.

But in principle it seems sensible that

you could.

I would guess the same as comic_sans,

you used an already existing name to

fold with, likely without a unique passkey.

The point total you see there is basically

the total points of anyone who has ever

used the name Ethan, with or without a

team. It isn't "your" id per-se. Right below

it you can see the actual points attached

to an Ethan on our team in small writing.

To try and clarify, first link is the generic

all encompassing Ethan including all

teams, the second link is specific to our

team.

http://fah-web2.stanford.edu/cgi-bin/main.py?qtype=userpage&username=Ethan&teamnum=223518

Basically, no Ethan earned that many

points in such a short timespan.

Grab a passkey if you haven't already,

or retrieve the old one if you lost it.
