Random Truck Question *cb radio

I seen someone with something that looks like a cb radio that is attached to the ceiling of the car where you can pull down a walkie talkie and talk and the sound will come out of the front of the car like how a police man can do. I was wondering exactly what this is called if anyone knows.. I'm not sure if just all cb radios can do this or if it is something entirely different.

Its called a PA system

Just make sure it's legal in your area.  Sometimes if you're caught using a PA system in a car, much like sirens and lights, you could violate a local ordinance.  In this case, a noise ordinance.

 

But there's been sooooo many times I wish I had one to talk to other drivers when they do something really stupid.
