Brightness on the PG279Q

DaMainMan

Helly everyone,

I am totally thrilled about my new ASUS PG279Q, but I have a question concerning the brightness of the monitor. I bought CoD Infinite Warfare yesterday and like most other games it asks to adjust your brightness when you first load it up.

I thought "what the hell" and tried to adjust it accordingly - turns out I can't turn down the brightness enough to even come close to the recommendation... Is this an IPS thing or is the the game?

this using the ingame slider or the monitor controls? Try setting the monitor up first using some calibration and then load the game up and try the slider

Nah don't do it like that, games brightness changes from game to game. Use an online calibration tool, will help get the basics correct, then use the games slider to adjust per game
