Cheap GPU, RX 470 Vs GTX 1050 Ti

Alexaldin

Hello dear fellows,

I'm making a cheap gaming pc, and I can't decide what GPU put in this rig:

CPU: i3 6100

Mobo: Asus H110M-A

RAM: 2*4Gb DDR4 (the cheapest, Corsair/HyperX, depend what cost less)

HDD: Wd Blue 1TB

PSU: Thermaltake Smart SE 530w

Case: Whatever cost less.

I have a cap of 600€. So, what GPU should I put in? An RX 470 or a GTX 1050ti? I highly prefer Nvidia over AMD, cause I prefer Nvidia driver and performance over AMD, but I saw benchmark video with a config similar to mine and RX470 dominate, with a lot more fps over the 1050ti.

Also, Asus or Gigabyte? Both 470 or 1050ti.

The 470 is 1 tier above 1050 Ti.

1050 Ti is similar to 960/R9-380

470 is similar to R9-290/GTX780 Ti/GTX970

Asus RX-470 imo.

If you can pick up a 470 with your budget, go for one of those. Better performance/value out of the two.

Should be well under your 600 euro budget no matter which you choose though.

With the 1050 ti I spend like 535€ without the case. The RX470 cost like 20€ more than the 1050ti, so I can put it in.

Ok, now, Asus or Gigabyte? I like them both, what's best?

Yeah, Italy sucks about hardware price.

RX470 is only about 10% slower than RX480, but much much faster than GTX1050 Ti.

The Asus RX480 has a triple fan cooler and RGB lighted back plate. While the RX470 has two fans and no back plate. That explains the big difference in price.

The MSI Rx480 4Gb costs 251€, so... Also I don't like MSI.
