What is s-switch?

Le_haos

I am planning to update my display, and I came across BenQ Zowie XL2430. I am wondering what does the s-switch do and is it worth the extra money?

I using my computer generally for gaming and MS office for work.

A common connection point for devices in a network. Hubs are commonly used to connect segments of a LAN. A hub contains multiple ports. When a packet arrives at one port, it is copied to the other ports so that all segments of the LAN can see all packets.

The geek himself.

its a usb controller for using the on screen display of the monitor. Its very convenient. Rather than having to mess around with small buttons on the side or bottom of the monitor, you can use a small controller that clips to the base of the monitor.

From the model website:

The S Switch is designed for easy access to settings and switching between saved modes. Whether you are watching, reading, surfing or gaming, switching between the presets and navigating among menus is as simple as 1-2-3.

TL;DR - It's a small control pad included with ther display.

I look at XL2411 and XL2430. They are both 24 inch, 1080p and 144hz. The only difference I can tell is the s-switch, but based on amazon, the price gap between these two are around $70. Why is that?

XL2411: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01H5KKQTM/ref=twister_B01MYNQSNL?_encoding=UTF8&th=1

XL2430: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01H5KKW0A/ref=twister_B01MYNQSNL?_encoding=UTF8&th=1

Sorry for these stupid questions. I am noob in pc building.

Check the official websites for both (or at least one), then you see the differences between these models. Just looking at Amazon for information is not enough.

XL2430 has more connectors and more features.
