Ah that sucks. This one for $160 is still a pretty fine value.

alright i did some research and found out that is HAS to be a nvidia card,  for some reason i thought it was any geforce card.  silly me. If the cheapest nvidia card thats on the 470s level is $200 then im going to have to use raptr instead.  but raptr also works on intel cards.  im not sure why i lean more towards intel over amd. i guess i wouldnt mind getting intel as long as its the best option

Geforce is a Nvidia model. All geforce cards are nvidia products. All Radeon cards are AMD. AMD and NVIDIA offer programs that go with their cards, and only their cards.

Computers r fun

@Energycore @TheNuzziNuzz @deXxterlab97 I think im going to go with this list; https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Q7fNxY.  what do you guys think?

   Pros

- Shadowplay

- fits theme

- within budget

   Cons

- aesthetics > performance

- uuuh not sure what else

if i wanted to build this pc on christmas day do you think it would be wise to purchase all the parts 2 weeks in advance?

do i need to buy a windows oem key?? i know i can get them on kinguin for cheap

bad psu. get os on knguin for cheap

I would not get this. AMD just released Crimson Relive with their own version of ShadowPlay so that is a huge plus for AMD so try and get RX 470

You should know this: AMD just released their version of Shadowplay, now better and as simple as the competition.

Yes it would be wise to purchase beforehand just in case you get something late.

Any windows key will do but an OEM one will be harder to move into a new motherboard.

You know, I really have no idea what PowerColor does to end up with such low prices. Perhaps they're pricing aggressively to position themselves as a known quantity? In that case it would be a marketing expense. On the other hand, they could be achieving those prices by severely costing down their SKUs, which would make them a no-no.

I'll never know unless I get one of their cards on-hand.

could be that they buy very large amounts of the GPUs from AMD, so that they can get lower prices which allows them to sell them cheaper. but i think they also do cheap out on some of the vrms, etc too(weren't their red devil 480s dying from furmark cuz of bad hardware). funny enough, the 480 GTR at $408 is the cheapest non-reference 8gb rx 480 here iirc(reference is $365) while the red devil is $415.
