Phanteks Eclipse P400S vs NZXT H440

expensive.

but, the  Phanteks on Newegg $59.9, looks interesting, good price.

I don't know which one to choose.

I'm getting crazy!!

Just make a list of cases you like, and then wait a few days for one of them to drop significantly in price. That's what I did. Every day I check my sticky note of cases I would buy and checked prices on amazon and newegg. There is the classic corsair 750d with good storage room. There is that NZXT Phantom thing if you're into that look. There is also the Corsair 350d which is my favorite microatx case, becasue it doesn't look like a microatx case. There is the Fractal Design r5 which was a fantastic case with 8 internal 3.5" bays. Value wise, I think you should just buy the h440 or even s340. Can't go wrong with that if you find it at a decent price. The P400 is nice, but with your extra drive bay needs I'm not sure it will be worth it. I think the s340 supports 3 HDD's

Case shopping made me go crazy. It really did. It is one of the harder consumer decisions for PC, I think. Eventually, every case ends up with a shitty review, just like HDD's, there's never a perfect one. I spent weeks looking stuff up and watching videos. Then, I got lucky and saw this price57abcce520d39_ScreenShot2016-08-10at7.49.39PM.png.9a93c2aab84ef83661fb1ddfa557820c.png

Where can I buy 2 more fans, the same model that comes with the case?.

I really wouldn't buy more of the same fans, even if you could. They are weak sauce man. Then, again I bought a couple Noctua fans, so I guess they could be better than I thought. But I was really underwhelmed at how little air I could feel coming through them with my case open, plus at over 50% rpm they are noisy.

Sounds good to me man. No matter how good a case is, if you're paying too much for it, then it's not a good case. I think the p400 is a solid case for $70. I just got lucky :1

What is the length of your led strips?.

The p400s is at 59.99 right now on newegg, is a good deal.

Something weird is that the p400 only support 2 120mm fan at the front.

Note: I have saw that if you buy a bracket to install another HDD, you have to remove the front fans, sadly. I don't like this, bye bye phanteks.

Phanteks Eclipse P400S  $79.99

  • 1x 120mm back
  • 1x 120mm front
  • 2 brackets for HDD
  • 2 brackets for SSD
  • Note: I will need to buy 1 bracket for another HDD and I will need to buy two more fans for the front.

NZXT H440  $109.99

Which is better?, latest model?, better material?.

  • 3x 120mm fans front
  • 1x 140mm fan back
  • Fan Hub 10x fans
  • 5 brackets for 11 HDD / 8 SSD
  • Note: I don't need to buy anything else

For pure silence go for the H440 as that has better sound dampening or so I've heard

I have 2 140mm's in the front as intakes. They can also fit go on the other side of the front panel if you had a radiator or that bracket you are talking about and still be able to utilize the dust filters. If you look in the last picture there is a little trap door in the front of the basement that you can remove. It supports 360mm radiators with that removed. ALTHOUGH, that would also mean moving the 2 HDD cage right underneath that trap door. You can just see my white sticker from my WD black hard drive through those slots there.

what I want to know is, if I install two brackets inside of the case, they will fit, even with the fron fans istalled?

or I need to remove the front fans to fit the brackets?.

You just may or may not have to place the fans on the side of the front panel rather than on side inside the case, that is all

lol sorry, I was thinking the brackets would get in the way of the fans. Even if they did then you can put front fans on the other side and be gravy, but the brackets do not get in the way, so it doesn't matter :) I think the case is designed to take fans on the other side of the front, in the front panel, so you could have a push pull radiator set up.

I won't use liquid cooling.

I just want to have my two 140mm fans at the front with my 2 brackets installed too.

You can unplug it xD Otherwise you can just cycle through a bunch of colors. These color choices would align with the phanteks LED strip for case lighting. I hardly notice the LED on the front, only during the night can you even see it.

You can unplug it xD Otherwise you can just cycle through a bunch of colors. These color choices would align with the phanteks LED strip for case lighting. I hardly notice the LED on the front, only during the night can you even see it.

got it

1 m of led strips will be enough?

I won't use liquid cooling.

I just want to have my two 140mm fans at the front with my 2 brackets installed too.

can you turn off the led of the bottom?.

1m is a fuckton more than I thought it would be. I have considered cutting my 1m strip in half. That's why I sent you the pictures to show you how you would have to wrap it, more or less, to get it to fit. It comes with magnets that are just strong enough to work.

Also, I've been looking at the ENTHOO EVOLV ATX GLASS and it is just about the same layout and chassis, minus water cooling amenities. Maybe it would be better to buy one of these brackets, it should work fine with the p400

The $175 case includes 3 of them, but I pretty sure if you bought one extra for this case it would fit on the p400, but I would double check
