Corsair HD120 RGB controller question

Do you need both the LED controller and a PWM controller or does the LED controller handle PWM speed as well?

 

Also, does anyone know if you can use a 2-pin splitter to have 2 LED controllers on 1 button? The Air 740 comes with 1 button, but got more fans spots then 1 controller can handle.

I speak my mind, sorry if thats a problem.
